Only on Thursday, take out the eyes of a dead owl and keep it somewhere safe and bury its remaining part at a crossroad at midnight. After this, whenever Thursday falls on the fortnight of Shukla Paksha, the owl's eye should be purified. Prepare anjan by rubbing it in antimony.

When the anja is ready, the next morning after taking a bath, sit on the seat of Kusha facing east and keep the vessel of anja in front of you and chant the following mantra one hundred thousand times.

“ॐ नमो उलूकराजाय, लक्ष्मी बाहनाय कं खं गं घं डं चं छं जं जं में गुप्त बिद्या प्रदातु ह्रीं फट स्वाहा ।”
